Grief Encounter
Grief Encounter was founded by Shelley Gilbert and believes that every bereaved child and their family in the UK should get the best possible help, recognition and understanding following their loss. They dedicate themselves, with the help of others, to making a difference to those children whose lives will never be the same. It was Shelley and Grief Encounter who were the first charity to open their doors to MuchLoved in agreeing to work closely together as a partnership to help the bereaved.

Merry Widow
The site was originally created by Kate Boydell as a standalone survival guide for young widows, but since then has developed into a hugely popular online resource for anyone who has lost a partner. They provide information, a way to let off steam and a practical manual on how to cope with your loss. Kate has been so supportive of the style and ethos behind MuchLoved ever since we made contact after being impressed when hearing her on a radio talk show about bereavement in late 2006.

Our Community Moderators
The MuchLoved online community only runs smoothly as the result of a significant input of time and effort by our team of moderators who work to ensure that all new visitors are welcomed and that members receive the support and feedback that they need in very difficult times. On behalf of all the MuchLoved Team and the Trustees, we can’t thank you enough for your dedication.
