SAMM looks to assist those who have lost a relative or friend as a result of murder, manslaughter or unlawful killing.
It maintains a network of members with self-help groups and newsletters and promotes good health, both mental and physical, so that those bereaved may eventually come to terms with their tragedy and be able to learn to live positively in the future.
SAMM also supports research into the effects of homicide in order that a caring approach is adopted whilst emphasizing the families’ needs for control, information and privacy.
