The Arthritis Research Campaign was launched in 1936 and although arthritis causes more disability than any other medical condition in the UK, the Arthritis Research Campaign is the ONLY major charity in the country solely dedicated to funding research into the different causes, treatments and possible cures. But we receive NO government funding whatsoever.

Arthritis is commonly known as a condition of old age; however, arthritis can affect people of all ages. Children, young adults, middle-aged and elderly people can all suffer from arthritis or related conditions. One in a thousand children in the UK suffers from childhood arthritis which in many cases continues to affect them when they grow up.

Every penny used for our research and education work comes from the generosity and support of the public. So please, help us help the seven million people suffering from arthritis in the UK.
