How we help:
Now in our 20th year, Bowel Cancer UK is committed to:
. Providing information, support and advice for those affected by bowel cancer, including their carers and families
. Increasing knowledge and understanding of the symptoms and prevention of bowel cancer through awareness campaigns, including the national screening programmes
. Working in partnership with healthcare professionals to provide education about bowel cancer
. Campaigning for improved choice and equal access to bowel cancer treatments, care and services
Over our 20 year history, Bowel Cancer UK has always put patients and carers first, seeking to help meet their needs, improve their choices - of treatment, care and services - and make their voices heard.
Bowel cancer is the second most common cancer in the UK, which means that every 15 minutes, someone is diagnosed with the disease and every 30 minutes someone dies from it. However, if diagnosed early, it is highly treatable - the most treatable cancer of all cancers in fact.
