Birmingham St Mary's Hospice has been open since 1979 and enjoys an excellent relationship with the community it serves. We have a history of focusing on the possibilities, not just the problems people face, encouraging the most from every circumstance.

The volunteers and staff here at the Hospice help over 1,000 families every year. We do this in many different ways, for example:

. We offer advice and support to patients either in their own homes or at the Hospice
. We listen to each person's individual concerns
. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
. We support both children and adults who have lost a loved one
. We provide education in palliative care to healthcare and related professionals.

Our services are open to everyone, and we aim to meet the diverse needs of all our patients. Thanks to the support of so many people - through gifts, legacies, volunteers and corporate support - all our care is provided free of charge.
