Care for the Family
Supporting bereaved parents and young widows/widowers, and strengthening family life
Care for the Family is a Registered Charity and has been supporting family life across the UK since 1988. Founded by best-selling author and speaker Rob Parsons, our aim is to strengthen family life, and help those who are hurting through the tough times.
Our Bereaved Parents' Network and A Different Journey (for those who have lost a partner early in life) give support, encouragement and understanding. We provide a telephone support network with trained befrienders who have themselves lost a partner or child; weekends and days for the bereaved; and email newsletters.
Care for the Family's wider work includes support for couples, parents and families on issues such as 'drug-proofing' your kids; single parenting; dealing with money and debt; parenting; marriage preparation; stepfamilies; and much more.
More than 300,000 people have attended our family-building events, and many more have been helped by special initiatives such as the ones above. We are almost entirely dependent on individual donations to help thousands of families across the UK every year.
