Chelmsford Star Co-Operative Funeral Services
The Highest Standard of Care
Mid-Essex based Chelmsford Star Co-operative has been supporting the local community since its inception in 1867. Driven by the nationally adopted Co-operative principles, which include self-help, this independent Society has always striven to apply this to every part of its business.
It currently employs just under 600 people across its four trading divisions, which include Food, Departmental Stores, Travel and Funeral Services.
CHELMSFORD STAR CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL SERVICES
The Funeral division employing 16 across six branches, has a very high profile within the community and has built up its reputation over years on quality and service. This is mainly due to our biggest asset, our staff who have a major input into how our service is run and conducted. It is through their experience and feedback, that we can offer an outstanding service to our clients and Much Loved is just another example of how we are more than just a Funeral Director.
We have also setup a BEREAVEMENT and AFTERCARE SUPPORT SERVICE not only for our clients, but for everyone in the local community. The purpose of the group was not to offer counselling but to bring like minded people together in a social gathering. It was for those who had suffered and could understand and support each other. Most bereaved people feel that they cannot move on because they feel isolated. For although the family may surround them, they can feel even more alone due to the lack of understanding and in some instances, swamped under too much care and attention.
We are constantly reviewing our service we offer to our clients and strive to improve year upon year and help support them as much as possible through very difficult times.
