Dimbleby Cancer Care offers care, comfort and support to thousands of people every year through running care centres at Guys & St Thomas's where we offer information, complementary therapies, group sessions and pyschosocial support.
In 2008, we will be expanding this programme to offer a major grants programme across the UK to raise the levels of care throughout the country. We are also concerned that the level of cancer care research is very low in the UK (at only 0.18% of all cancer research spend in the country) and we are launching a £1m a year scheme of research making us one of the largest funders of this type of research in the country. In addition, we continue to fund our London centres and to fund projects that significantly add value to the quality of life of those living with cancer.
