Care Homes
A warm welcome awaits in every Friends of the Elderly care home. Our homes, often in wonderful surroundings, offer the highest quality of care in a very special atmosphere of friendship and tranquillity. Our residents are treated with dignity and friendly courtesy, and we never forget it is their home.
Day Clubs
Members enjoy a freshly cooked meal and make new friendships. A visit to the club can be of great comfort and support, providing something to look forward to, particularly for those who are socially isolated. The support given by the staff helps older people gain a better quality of life and promotes their independence.
Home Support Services
Friends of the Elderly's Home Support Services provide practical help and emotional support to vulnerable older people in their own homes. Through these services we enable people to continue to live independently and improve their quality of life. We give priority to people with dementia, confusion and depression.
Befriending
We aim to improve the quality of life of older people by reducing their feelings of isolation and loneliness. We achieve this through our telebefrienders, who provide older people with regular telephone contact and the opportunity to build a relationship based on friendship.
Welfare Grants
Friends of the Elderly's Welfare and Grant Giving helps older people by providing one-off grants for essential items such as mobility aids, clothing, basic furniture, household white goods and appliances, property repairs and adaptations
