Keech Hospice CareKeech Hospice Care cares for adults and children with life-limiting illnesses
Care at the hospice focuses on helping patients to enjoy the best quality of life possible - controlling their pain and other symptoms; offering emotional and practical support; providing suitable treatments and therapies including complementary therapy, music and hydrotherapy and, when the time comes providing the best care to ensure a comfortable and dignified death.
When someone is seriously ill, family and friends can all be affected. Keech Hospice Care is there to support them as much as they need throughout their loved one’s illness and in their bereavement.
At Keech we have in-patient and day care facilities designed to meet the varying ages and individual needs of each patient and, recognising that families with life-limited children often prefer to care for their child at home, the children’s community nursing team helps them do this.
All of the charity’s services are offered free of charge, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It costs around £5m a year to run both hospices and 75% of that has to be raised through voluntary donations.
