We are a charity with nearly 25 years experience. We provide free, high quality patient care and support, both across our extensive community and within our modern purpose built hospice. As a leading UK hospice we give outstanding end of life care to adult patients, and support to their families and friends.
Our Community Team of Princess Alice Nurses is one of the largest specialist teams in the UK, providing specialist care symptom control seven days a week. They also offer essential advice and support to patients, their families and their friends at home or in care homes.

With our innovative end of life care practices, our specialist doctors and nurses help relieve pain and control our patients’ symptoms. A patient’s time here can also give their families and friends a break from the often exhausting task of caring for someone seriously ill. Even in the last stage of illness, we aim to give our patients the best possible quality of life, whilst providing their families and friends with the support they need.

Open every week day, the day care team provides comprehensive medical and therapeutic services, music therapy and various complementary therapies.

Our specialist Therapy Team is essential to our programme of care, working with patients at the Hospice and out in the community with patients at home.

Our social work team plays a vital role supporting patients, their families and their friends with counselling, advocacy and advice on practical and financial matters.

Learning, research and teaching are all central to our work as a leading hospice, and help maintain our excellent standards of care.
