PSP and CBD are terminal degenerative brain diseases. Their causes are unknown and both are difficult to diagnose in their early stages.
PSP symptoms include backward falls and problems with vision, while CBD initially affects only one side of the body. They progressively rob people of their ability to walk, talk, see or swallow.
There is no treatment or cure for either condition.
It is estimated that around 10,000 people have PSP.
